A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Titanium is used because it is biocompatible — over 3 to 6 months, the bone grows around the post in a process called osseointegration, creating a permanent anchor. Once integrated, a custom porcelain crown is attached on top, creating a tooth replacement that looks, feels, and functions exactly like a natural tooth.
Unlike dental bridges or removable dentures, implants do not require altering adjacent healthy teeth, do not slip or shift, and actively preserve the jawbone by providing the stimulation that natural tooth roots normally provide. They are the gold standard in tooth replacement and the only option that addresses bone loss.
Are You a Good Candidate?
Most adults in good general health qualify for dental implants. The primary requirements are adequate jawbone density, healthy gum tissue, and no uncontrolled systemic conditions. Dr. Jativa evaluates each patient individually using our CBCT 3D scan during the free consultation.

The Pler Smile Implant Process
Diagnosis & 3D Planning
Using our Intraoral CT Scan (CBCT), we create a precise 3D map of your jaw, bone density, and nerve pathways. This allows us to plan implant placement with surgical precision — identifying the optimal angle, depth, and position before we begin. You receive a full treatment plan with timeline and cost before any procedure is scheduled.
Implant Placement
The titanium implant post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia. Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure. A temporary restoration is provided immediately so you leave the office with a complete, functional smile while osseointegration — the process of the implant fusing with your bone — occurs over the following 3 to 6 months.
Final Crown Placement
Once the implant has fully integrated with the bone, your custom-designed, color-matched porcelain crown is permanently attached to the abutment. The crown is fabricated in our in-house laboratory for precise fit and natural aesthetics. Final photos document the transformation. The result looks, feels, and functions exactly like a natural tooth.

All-on-X: Full Arch Restoration
For patients who need a complete arch replacement, our All-on-X protocol uses 4 to 6 strategically placed implants to support a full set of fixed, non-removable teeth. This is a life-changing procedure for patients with significant tooth loss or those currently wearing full dentures. The procedure includes a digital aesthetic preview before surgery so you can see your result before we begin.
